This is a rather large video of a great ride along the High Peak Trail on a glorious sunny day. I was armed with my GoPro Hero 3 Silver Edition and I managed to capture some of the highlights along the way. We started at the High Peak Junction and cycled to the northern end and then back. The best bit by far was the downhill section at the end from Middleton Top to the Cromford Canal… Enjoy 🙂
I had no idea that the cycle routes were as well constructed as that! they’re better than the roads by me! I’m definitely going to come up and have a go on the e-bike along those routes!

Hi Gordon. You should definitely come back with your bike. We have the Monsal, High Peak and Tissington Trails. You could also check out the circular route around the Reservoirs in the upper Derwent Valley too, we did it today and the weather was “glorious” 🙂

I must admit I have spent most of my Peak District time in the Dark Peak. The White Peak has grown on me a lot in the last few years, it may not have as many hills or edges but there is something about those lush green pastures… It reminds me of “The Shire” from The Lord of the Rings movies, especially around Manifold Dale and Ilam. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Much appreciated.
