Australia – Sydney – Convict Museum & Flying Home

In the final video from Australia we make our way in to Sydney and down to Circular Quay, we walked through the botanical gardens and over towards Mrs Macquarie’s Chair to get a great view of the Opera House and Bridge. We then visited the Convict Museum at Hyde Park Barracks.

The Convict Museum at Hyde Park Barracks is a fascinating place, I’m interested it that period of history and in the early day of European settlement on the Australian continent. The museum houses a wealth of information and maps charting Sydney’s past.

We had such a great time in Australia with family that it was heartbreaking to leave, our flight left an hour late but we were treated to an amazing view of Sydney from the air as we waved goodbye to the land down under. A huge thank you for watching this series of videos and i’ll see you back in the Glorious Peak District again very soon.
