In this video I head to Airways Airsports at Darley Moor near Ashbourne in Derbyshire for a Paragliding taster day. My girlfriend Lisa had very kindly booked me an introductory lesson for my birthday as it was something I’d been interested in doing. Ever since I first saw people paragliding from Mam Tor in the Peak District I knew it was something I’d like to give a try. I had an absolutely fantastic day and managed to get a few flights in while being towed on the winch line. All the staff at Airways Airsport made me feel really welcome, I felt like I was able to pick the basics up quickly and it’s definitely something i’d like to take further. The financial investment needed to be fully trained and your own wing is something i’ll have to get around to. I have too many hobbies and things I’d like to do 🙂
