Peak District 70th Birthday Bash – 35km Trail Race

In this video Stef and I head to Castleton to take part in Peak Running’s 35 km Trail Race for the Peak District’s 70th Birthday Bash.

The route took us from Castleton to Hollins Cross, Mam Tor and up and over Lord’s Seat. We followed the Pennine Bridleway to Hayfield before climbing up on to Kinder Scout via William Clough. After we passed the downfall a huge hail storm arrived which gave the day a very ‘Winter Spine’ feel 😁. From Kinder Low we followed the Pennine Way back to Edale and then climbed back over to Castleton… What an amazing day it was, we met lots of really nice people, some familiar faces and new friends were made.
