This video is from a trip I did with my mate Keith back in September 2008. We arrived in the Lake District one afternoon, walked a few Wainwrights, Wild Camped at Grisedale Tarn and then attacked the Helvellyn Range and a few more tops afterwards. It was a great trip and we managed 15 Wainwrights in 24hrs. It was filmed using my old Canon A640 so sadly it isn’t HD, also sorry about the wind noise đŸ™‚
We arrived at Patterdale mid afternoon and we head straight up Arnison Crag then on to Birks and St Sunday Crag. The light began to fade so we walked with head torches down to Grisedale Tarn for a wild camp. The first Wainwright of the morning was Seat Sandle, down then up again to Dollywagon Pike before heading along to Nethermost Pike and Helvellyn. We then went further north to White Side, Raise, Stybarrow Dodd, Watson’s Dodd and finally Great Dodd. We then turned round and head back southward towards Stybarrow Dodd where we turned east then north east towards Hart Side. The views were stunning and we lingered a while before heading to Sheffield Pike and then finally Glenridding Dodd making it 15 Wainwrights in less than 24hrs. Al that remained was to head back to the car and toast a great trip with Traditional Ale and some Fish & Chips.
